GoodData Provides Valuable End-User Experience
We use GoodData to provide business intelligence that's embedded within our platform. We use their end-to-end solution to connect our databases with their toool.
GoodData makes our data useful. We can quickly maneuver between the various data points, provide visualizations that summarize the data and extracts to get more granular.
- Seamlessly incorporate a wide variety of tools in a way that doesn't clutter user experience
- Provides tremendous knowledge and support on various use cases
- Every offering and update is intentional - they're not a software company that makes changes on a whim
- The organization of attributes/facts/metrics is lacking
- Users share saved Insights and the management of those items. Its not intuitive or easy to find Insights unless they were the last ones you worked on
- When viewing the data model, the interface isn't friendly to research. There should be a better way to view connections without endless scrolling

Good BI Tool with a lot of Customizations
We use GoodData to power up analytics for our customers (businesses) and how they are dealing with their own customers. We can leverage a lot of useful capabilities of GoodData, the most liked feature currently is the capabilities of the bricks. We can set up any new account with the perfect settings every time following our guidelines and the ramp-up is quite fast. We are using the platform version with an iframe displayed in our platform.
It allows us to have a BI tool for our customers an easier way than implementing it ourselves, and it is a clean solution.

GoodData really gives our data a voice now!
GoodData is used to pull the customer's information from our system to analyze their own data through the development of insights, helping their company visualize and make decisions based on what the data is saying. It is very flexible, and my coworker and I have been able to develop practically any insight we want to show our clients what their data could be telling them. Appreciate the ability to make any metric we desire and, therefore, allow more flexibility within our product. The clients are pleased with the additional insight into their data.

Solid Multi Tenant BI Tools with embedding for SaaS business
We are using it in two areas. One for inhouse analytics and another for enabling advance analytics for customers on higher plans. Inhouse analytics we are looking at state of onboarding for specific customers and overall within our system. This give us insight while tapping on the same infrastructure as our customers leading to cost saving and development time.
Provide insight into data for both internal use and customer needs with minimal development required beyond initial setup and integration. It also provide us with a way to prototype new report type easily before building them within the system.

Small business using GoodData
We use GoodData on the introductory plan and have found it very beneficial so far. We made an intentional decision to centralise all of our cross-functional data into one archival database, and we use GoodData to display this data. This reduces our reliance on 3rd party analytics apps that may have multiple methodologies for measuring the same event (common if you are a product business) and it also enables us to see the customer journey end-to-end. In terms of usage, GoodData is really designed for detailed business analytics & data scientists. We do not have that expertise in house, so we rely on their no-code tools to get set up. While there was a small learning curve (the online slack community and help docs are helpful here) we are now in a place where anyone in the business can play with the data. We are also working with our devs to make the archival database more "readable" for non-technical employees, i.e. by using more self-explanatory naming conventions.
GoodData gives businesses an opportunity to expose selected parts of their data set to a limited number of employees. It then gives those employees the power to query this data in a no-code manner, which reduces (or eliminates) reliance on devs and data scientists. Data is loaded into models, which live inside workspaces. You can include / exclude what is needed from each model, and you can also pipe multiple datasets into a model. Similarly, you can include / exclude employees from certain workspaces. Employees have an option to export data to CSV or XSLX if there is no appropriate graph available. This gives you both security and flexibility.
